A Kennel Alternative for the Social Dog

Over 13 years ago Dawn and Peter Brittain opened Animal House Doggie B&B in Sarasota, FL (www.animalhousesarasota.biz). They created a fun and safe enviornment for dogs to romp and play with their friends. A place that is a home away from home. A place where a dog gets to go on vacation too while the family is away. Also a place for those dogs that need some exercise and romp time during the week while your at work. In 2009 Dawn and Peter decided to sell their business and move to Vermont, a place they fell in love with years ago, and raise their family closer to relatives. With Animal House of New England we offer the same love and care to your pets. A safe place where they can make new friends and play all day. We offer an open environment were dogs can run and play or just sit on the couch and watch whats going on. We have a 600 square foot room for the dogs to play in and our large enclosed dog yard. We also have 40 beautiful acres with lots of groomed trails to walk our dogs on. And large grassy areas for our dogs to romp and play. We are the only house on Power Plant Road so our place is safe and secure for your loved one. We do have just a couple of rules. All dogs must be spayed/neutered by 1 year. Our environment may not be for everyone. So if possible we like to do a doggie interview first to make sure they will enjoy there stay with us and for us to make sure we are not taking in any aggressive dogs. Call to set up your dogs next stay with us. So you can enjoy piece of mind knowing that they are having just as much fun as you are. We also offer Daycare - Monday through Friday.
![]() Our dog "Max" could not go to any kennel because of all his special needs. But under Dawn's care we were able to go on a much needed vacation without worry or concern. Max not only was cared for but he thrived under her care. We are looking forward to being able to travel more. Thanks Dawn!
